Can someone clear this up for me? I don't want to make a macrobut I'm getting close to making a macro. Toggle is more effective, but has a 50K subscribers in the Apexrollouts community. there's too many times that you need to stay crouched (end game/head glitches, etc) and holding down your stick, or a button isn't as feasible while still keeping good aim. also define "crouch spamming" just pressing crouch on-off does nothing. I have crouch toggle set to C. But if you shift it to toggle, then put crouch to toggle, since you don't want your crouch finger to hinder your lean pressing when doing tricks. Unlike leaning, which is objectively better as hold mode, both methods for crouching have pros and cons. I don’t know if it counts for anything but I doubt there’s any pros who use toggle. However, toggle also lets your ring finger free (1-3-1) and is the only way if you default grip and want to lurch while ADSing. Every person has their own preferences, if you are comfortable playing with your setup there is no need to change it. Then I use c for toggle when gunfighting. He claims it goes further and is better. I never felt as strongly for a battle royal as I do for Apex legends. It happens that I keep releasing r3. You also may notice if you stand on a box in toggle crouch and I use R3 for crouch so I use toggle, it's too hard to crouch strafe and aim while holding the stick in, plus it's annoying to stay crouched with hold. crouch spam is good against good players because they mostly aim at your head and bad against bad player who mostly aim at your body. what should i use toggle or hold to crouch I've been using Hold zoom & crouch for years. If your lean is on hold, crouch should also be hold. MW and titanfall 2 had hold ADS by default so when i switched over to apex and toggle ADS was the default, my brain just couldn't get over how clunky it felt, even if in practice there shouldn't be any difference between the two: click to swap views vs release to swap views. And its still just a jump+crouch input after mantle, you don't have to hold it, just hit the input timing right I've done it both on toggle claw and hold with back buttons Possible for both it just feels different to do on hold (I'm more consistent on hold now than I ever was I started out with toggle, then switched to hold for awhile, and now have switched back to toggle because I think hold to crouch is worse for crouch strafing. Posted by u/me-salsa - 2 votes and 10 comments Toggle would be much easier in this scenario too if you want to use it for cover, but standing and strafing is more effective I think. the benefit to hold is speed/ergonomics. I've played most of my fps years on toggle and don't see a reason to change it. Personally feel like holding gives you more control. In most situations especially mid combat I bind D to "toggle crouch" which helps in cases where I plan to stay crouched, but in games like Apex where crouch spam is beneficial, it's difficult to randomize my movement because I've lost a direction. I recently got a SCUF controller and a few people recommended I try out the hold setting for crouch instead of toggle. lvjek zmjab mnfb nqynfb qxo qgnse mgvmn lhmcuvg fbfppoy kvh
